Moore Street Traction Maintenance Depot
Moore Street T.M.D is a digitally controlled, OO scale fictitious diesel depot and
works based near a large city, serving a mainline station and busy freight yard.
The depot is focused from 1987 to 1992 depicting the many changes that could be
seen all over the railway network at this time.
I chose to model this era as sectorisation introduced many new liveries and brandings
after the drab corporate colours of BR blue, giving the railway network that last
lease of life since rationalisation and prior to privatisation.
Moore Street T.M.D is a very busy diesel depot and works, providing refuelling,
maintenance, stabling and a wash facility for a variety of traction engines from
all over the railway network from working mainline and cross country passenger services,
various freight duties and the occasional rail tour.
